Nigerian's First Lady, Aisha Buhari Official Twitter handle has been deactivated.

The news is coming after Buhari led Government announce the suspension of the world largest Micro blogging platform,  Twitter operations in the country.

A Twitter search of Aisha Buhari Profile, it's shows the account has been deactivated.

Nigerian's Suspension of our operations is deeply concerning - Twitter

The world largest Micro blogging platform, Twitter says Nigeria shutting down its operations is deeply concerning.


According to Twitter Senior Policy Communication manager across Europe and Africa stated this after sending an email to TheCable Network.

Read his email below,

"The announcement made by the Nigeria Government that they have come to conclusions to suspend Twitter operations in Nigeria is deeply concerning. We are investigating and will provides update when we know more."


According to Lai Mohammed statement on Friday afternoon June 4, He announce the suspension of Twitter operations in Nigeria and cited the persistent use of Twitter for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria corporate existence as a good reasons to shut it down.

Breaking: FG suspends Twitter's operations in Nigeria

Federal Government has taken to Twitter to announce the suspension of Twitter operations in Nigeria.

According to statement from Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, announcing the suspension he wrote;

''The Federal Government has suspended, indefinitely, the operations of the microblogging and social networking service, Twitter, in Nigeria.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, announced the suspension in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, citing the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria's corporate existence.

The Minister said the Federal Government has also directed the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to immediately commence the process of licensing all OTT and social media operations in Nigeria.''


The tweets of the suspension is coming after Twitter delete President Buhari Speech on civil war on it's official Twitter handle.


Major Politicians, Adamu Garba once say Twitter has no right to infuse on Nigeria Political System and he added that Twitter operations in Nigeria must be shut down.
