I understand how difficult it may be because I have lived in exile before. Remain composed as Dele Momodu pokes fun at Reno Omokri

Nigerian journalist and publisher, Dele Momodu, recently took to his X page to express his heartfelt appreciation for Reno Omokri’s birthday tribute. In a touching post, Momodu shared his gratitude and personal reflections:

"My dear Aburo, RENO, I will forever treasure your kind words... I've lived in exile before and appreciate how tough it can be, no matter how wealthy you are. At one point, I nearly fell into depression. Not many people can understand. Please, keep calm. Everything is gonna be alright, by God's grace... You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers... I love you, unconditionally."

Omokri’s tribute, posted on May 17, 2023, celebrated Momodu’s impact on Nigerian society and his influential presence in Ghana. He wrote:

"Happy birthday Aare Dele Momodu, one of Nigeria's finest. What would Nigerian society be like without you? You bring a civilised air of bonhomie that cuts through region and religion, and now your social gravitas is doing the same thing in Ghana, a country I have just returned from and one where your name is on the lips of many of their elites for good. More positivity has been attracted to Nigeria through your existence than through some of the many embassies and consulates we maintain. And now, your offspring are walking down your well-trodden paths. It is with great joy that my family and I say happy birthday to you."

Momodu’s response highlights the deep bond between the two men and his appreciation for Omokri’s recognition of his efforts. This exchange underscores the profound impact of supportive words and the importance of maintaining strong connections, even in challenging times.
